DirectX 12 Overview
DirectX 12 is a Bundled with Windows utility for Windows developed by Microsoft. We point you to the official Microsoft download page rather than re-hosting anything, so you always get the publisher's current release in their chosen format. If a game asks for DirectX 12, the correct fix is to make sure Windows is fully updated: open Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates, including optional ones. DirectX 12 arrives with those updates on supported hardware. You can confirm your installed version by pressing Win+R, typing dxdiag, and pressing Enter — the DirectX Diagnostic Tool shows your DirectX version on the System tab. A common point of confusion: many games also need the older DirectX 9.0c / 10 / 11 runtime libraries (d3dx9_43.dll and similar), and those legacy components are NOT included with Windows by default. This page is informational. We do not host DirectX, and we cannot link to a standalone DirectX 12 download because Microsoft does not publish one. The official, supported way to get DirectX 12 is Windows Update.
