Kid3 Overview
Kid3 is an open source audio tag editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux from KDE. This page now points to Kid3 3.9.7 release packages published from the official Kid3 download page, including Windows ZIP, macOS DMG, and Linux TGZ packages. Kid3 edits ID3v1, ID3v2, Vorbis, FLAC, MPC, MP4, WMA, WAV, AIFF, and other metadata formats. It supports batch editing, filename-to-tag conversion, tag-to-filename conversion, playlist generation, and metadata imports from services such as MusicBrainz and Discogs. The direct release packages are useful for music library maintenance workstations and offline tagging environments where the same package needs to be installed or extracted repeatedly. To install offline: download the Kid3 package for your operating system, copy it to the target machine, and install or extract it locally. The Kid3 offline installer packages the full setup for Windows/macOS/Linux as a standalone installer, so the complete audio toolset is ready after one install with no further internet activity required.
